Some Terrific POTO Vids!

I have loved this music video since I was a kid- it's Michael Crawford (the original Phantom) and Sarah Brightman (the original Christine Daae) and the song is "The Music of the Night"

I adore this music video taken from a documentary on the opening of "Phantom" in Canada at the Pantages Theater.  This features Colm Wilkinson as the Phantom and Rebecca Caine as Christine--

I just discovered these trailers that are beyond awesome!  I'm not a huge fan of the non-replica ALW Phantom, BUT they do have the same music and storyline.  This is the cast from Bucharest--

Below is the full trailer for the 2004 film, "The Phantom of the Opera"- the ALW version of course! I saw this an amazing TEN TIMES in the theater!  lol....I guess it was the next best thing to seeing it live on stage, and much cheaper too. ;-)  This of course stars: Gerard Butler as the Phantom, Emmy Rossum as Christine, and Patrick Wilson as Raoul.

I do like the tagline that was on the posters:

"The classic musical comes to the big screen for the first time."

This is the funky and fun "Phantom of the Opera" title song by "Harajuko"

The next video (below) is my absolute FAVORITE male musical/broadway singer of all time, the late Steve Barton who was also the original Raoul, and also the lovely Sarah Brightman who played the original Christine in the ALW version.  They are performing the romantic duet, "All I Ask of You"--
